Tony: Retirement Celebration & Recognition of Service

recognition of service
September 14, 2014

This past Sunday the congregation gave thanks to God for Tony Marchand, who has begun his retirement after serving full-time at Historic St. Paul’s for twelve years.

Tony speech

Tony wore many hats as our Parish Assistant. Youth activities, Manna, outreach events, Vacation Bible Camp, and the Community Cupboard all saw Tony at the helm. We praise the Lord for Tony’s organizational prowess and faithful service, both in his visible roles and in countless hours of behind-the-scenes work. We are doubly grateful that he continues serving in his retirement as Community Cupboard Coordinator.

A beloved youth leader, his zeal for nurturing young people in the faith is evident. Tony continues to volunteer with youth initiatives in the church-at-large, currently serving as Chair of the 2016 LCC National Youth Gathering.

Sunday’s celebration included a “Recognition of Service” rite during the morning worship followed by a potluck luncheon and cake.

* Bible studies for youth and adults

Drop by any Wednesday!
Everyone’s always welcome.

Manna resumes September 17, 2014 for the Fall session.

According to your own ability, please help defray the cost
of the meal. (Currently our expenses are about $5 per person.)  Offering baskets are placed at the entrance to the Friendship Room.  Thanks!
